Many control tasks involve simple control loops with predictable operating patterns. The reference variable remains constant over long periods of time, often during the entire service life. Furthermore, deviations in the controlled variable are acceptable.

The use of self-operated regulators can help to drastically reduce costs spent on control equipment intended for such control tasks. These regulators draw their energy from the process medium itself and use it in measuring and positioning the valve.

There is no need to invest in equipment such as transmitters and control units together with their wiring and maintenance. What's more, no auxiliary power supply is required - a cost-cutting factor especially where extensive gas, water or heat supply networks are concerned.

The requirements placed on control valves intended for processing plants vary considerably depending on the field of application. Therefore our valves are designed as modular assemblies that allow us to respond with utmost flexibility to our customers' requirements. All valves conform to ANSI, DIN and JIS standards and are available in all commonly used materials as well as in all the standard pressure ratings.

Innovative control-related accessories including smart positioners, volume boosters, lock-up valves, limit switches and solenoid valves can be mounted or integrated into the valves.

Special countermeasures and components allow strict specifications concerning wear and corrosion resistance, internal and external leakage, stability at extreme temperatures and noise emission to be met.

Valve designs have been especially developed to conform to the stringent regulations in the field of cryogenics as well as in the pharmaceutical and food processing industries.

Pressure transmitters, controllers and automation systems round off our product line.

HVAC control valves are mainly combined with electric or electrohydraulic actuators and tuned for use in highly complex control loops. All the actuators can optionally be delivered with fail-safe functions.

The actuator is connected to the plug stem of the valve in a simple and reliable way using a force-locking design.

End connections in the lower nominal size range include butt-welding ends, threaded ends and flanges.

Valve materials such as brass, red casting brass and cast iron are used to meet corrosion requirements imposed on HVAC equipment.

TROVIS controllers and systems developed by SAMSON allow all automation tasks to be solved efficiently and conveniently, regardless which operation strategy the automation is based upon.
